Electrical circuits
Electric circuits act as a pathway for the electric current. An electric circuit is designed so that they are the safest methods of sending electric current from one point to another.
Electric circuits can be as simple as a battery (composed of cells) connected to a bulb or as complicated as a computers motherboard.
A simple electrical circuit
Shown above a diagram showing a very simple electric circuit consisting of a bulb, a battery and connecting wires.
A slightly more complicated circuit shown below in schematic form contains a battery made up of two cells, a bulb and a variable resistor. The resistance value can be increased or decreased to allow more or less current to flow through the circuit. The greater the value of current flowing through the bulb the brighter it will shine.
